Besi termasuk logam yang dibutuhkan tubuh, tetapi jika asupan besi melebihi ambang batas maka akan bersifat toksik bagi tubuh. Upaya untuk mengatasi pencemaran logam berat telah banyak dilakukan. &lt;/span&gt;Metode&lt;span style=""&gt;  &lt;/span&gt;alternatif untuk mengatasi pencemaran logam berat adalah biosorpsi, yaitu menggunakan biomassa sebagai biosorben logam berat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjajagi kemampuan biomassa bekatul, sebagai hasil samping pemgolahan padi, sebagai biosorben untuk menyerap besi(III) dari larutan. Preparasi biomassa dilakukan dengan aktivasi menggunakan NaOH. &lt;span style="" lang="SV"&gt;Penjerapan besi(III) dilakukan pada variasi pH, konsentrasi dan waktu kontak. Biomassa diimobilisasi dengan silika gel. Proses recovery dilakukan dengan metode batch dan kolom. Pencucian biomassa pada proses recovery menggunakan HCl. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pH optimum penjerapan pada pH=4. Waktu kontak optimum terjadi pada menit ke-25. Penjerapan besi(III) tertinggi pada konsentrasi logam 50,0 ppm. Recovery terjadi pada kisaran diatas 80,00%. Penggunaan metode kolom lebih baik dibandingkan metode batch. Bahan pencemar ini dapat menyebabkan perubahan lingkungan itu sendiri. Salah satu upaya untuk mengurangi pencemaran oleh logam Cr(VI) yaitu metode adsorpsi dengan biomassa atau lebih dikenal dengan biosorpsi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menentukan keadaan optimum biomassa Potamogeton sp sebagai yang digunakan sebagai adsorben. Biosorpsi Cr(VI) oleh biomassa Potamogeton sp dilakukan dengan metode batch (sentrifugasi dan filtrasi). Beberapa variabel yang diteliti pada proses biosorpsi menggunakan metode batch yaitu pH, waktu kontak, kapasitas adsorpsi dan identifikasi gugus fungsional. Recovery logam dilakukan dengan menggunakan biomassa yang diimobilisasi pada suatu pendukung yaitu silika gel dan dilakukan menggunakan suatu kolom dengan diameter tertentu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pH optimum adsorpsi Cr(VI) oleh biomassa Potamogeton sp yaitu pada pH = 2 dapat mengadsorpsi Cr(VI) sebesar 69,4202 &lt;span style="" lang="IN"&gt;%.&lt;/span&gt; Waktu kontak optimum yaitu selama 60 menit dengan adsorpsi sebesar 72,1198 %. &lt;span style="" lang="IN"&gt;Kapasitas adsorpsi Cr(VI) oleh biomassa &lt;i style=""&gt;Potamogeton sp&lt;/i&gt; berkisar antara 0,2437 – 2,9820 mg ion logam/g adsorben.Kemampuan&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span lang="IN"&gt; &lt;/span&gt;&lt;i style=""&gt;recovery&lt;/i&gt; ion logam Cr(VI) berkisar antara &lt;span style="" lang="IN"&gt;33,6212 hingga 50,9319 %&lt;/span&gt;. Gugus-gugus dari biomassa yang berinteraksi dengan logam Cr(VI) adalah gugus –OH, -COOH, dan –N-H amina. Upaya untuk mengurangi tingkat pencemaran logam berat kadmium dapat dilakukan dengan metode biosorpsi. Penelitian ini ingin mengetahui kemampuan biomassa &lt;i&gt;Potamogeton sp &lt;/i&gt;terimobilkan pada silika gel sebagai biosorben Cd(II) untuk mengurangi pencemaran logam berat Cd. Beberapa variabel yang berpengaruh terhadap biosorpsi ditentukan pada berbagai variasi antara lain : rasio biomassa - silika gel, pH dan kemampuan &lt;i&gt;recovery&lt;/i&gt; biomassa. Elimination of heavy metals, like Cd,&lt;span style=""&gt;  &lt;/span&gt;from&lt;span style=""&gt;  &lt;/span&gt;environment, was an important research. One of the alternatif treatment to handle heavy metals pollution is using biomass as biosorbent. The aims of this research were to find out the ability of biomass&lt;i&gt; &lt;/i&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;i style=""&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: normal;" lang="ES-TRAD"&gt;Potamogeton sp&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/i&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: normal;" lang="ES-TRAD"&gt; immobilized in silica gel &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: normal;"&gt;to adsorb Cd(II). These experiments included rasio of biomassa/silica gel, pH profile, and Cd(II) recovery. The bound-metals ion were recovered by treatment with 0,1 N HCl. The results showed that, opmimum rasio of biomass/silica gel 12,50%, adsorption occurred at pH = 5. Metode&lt;span style=""&gt;  &lt;/span&gt;alternatif untuk mengatasi pencemaran Cr adalah biosorpsi, yaitu menggunakan biomassa sebagai biosorben. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;i style=""&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: normal;" lang="SV"&gt;Aspergillus niger&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/i&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: normal;" lang="SV"&gt; merupakan salah satu spesies &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: normal;" lang="EN-GB"&gt;yang dapat digunakan sebagai biosorben untuk mengikat logam berat. &lt;i style=""&gt;A. &lt;st1:place st="on"&gt;&lt;st1:country-region st="on"&gt;niger&lt;/st1:country-region&gt;&lt;/st1:place&gt;&lt;/i&gt; mudah dibiakkan pada medium agar&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: normal;" lang="SV"&gt;, ekonomis dan aman bagi lingkungan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan biomassa &lt;i style=""&gt;A. Niger&lt;/i&gt; sebagai biosorben Cr(III). Biosorpsi Cr(III) dilakukan pada variasi pH, konsentrasi dan waktu kontak. Proses recovery dilakukan dengan metode batch dan kolom. Pencucian biomassa pada proses recovery menggunakan HCl.&lt;span style=""&gt;  &lt;/span&gt;Gugus fungsi biomassa sebelum dan sesudah interaksi dengan Cr(III) dianalisis dengan spektroskopi inframerah Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pH optimum adsorpsi terjadi pada pH 5. Konsentrasi logam terbaik pada 10,0 ppm dengan kapasitas adsorpsi sebesar 0,155 mg ion Cr(III)/g biomassa.. Sedang waktu optimum adsorpsi terjadi pada 1 jam pertama. One of the alternatif method to handle heavy metals pollution is using biomass as biosorbent. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;i style=""&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: normal;" lang="SV"&gt;Aspergillus niger&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/i&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: normal;" lang="SV"&gt; is one of &lt;i style=""&gt;Aspergillus&lt;/i&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span lang="SV"&gt; &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: normal;" lang="EN-GB"&gt;genus, it&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: normal;" lang="SV"&gt; has the ability as an adsorbent to take up heavy metals ions. &lt;i style=""&gt;A. niger&lt;/i&gt; growth easily on agar medium, this biomass was also unexpensive and unharm to environment. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: normal;" lang="EN-GB"&gt;The aims of this research were to find out the ability of biomass&lt;i&gt; A. &lt;st1:place st="on"&gt;&lt;st1:country-region st="on"&gt;niger&lt;/st1:country-region&gt;&lt;/st1:place&gt; &lt;/i&gt;to adsorb Cr(III).&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: normal;" lang="SV"&gt; The effect of treatment on Cr&lt;sup&gt;3+&lt;/sup&gt; adsorption of &lt;i style=""&gt;A. niger&lt;/i&gt; biomass was investigated in various pH, concentration and contact times at optimum conditions. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: normal;" lang="EN-GB"&gt;Cr(III) recovery was measured in both methods, coloum and batch. The bound-metals ion were recovered by treatment with HCl. The results showed that, opmimum adsorption occurred at pH 5,&lt;span style=""&gt;  &lt;/span&gt;in 1 our time periode, and with 10,0 ppm concentration. Capacity of adsorption is &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: normal;" lang="SV"&gt;0,155 mg Cr(III)/g biomass&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: normal;" lang="SV"&gt; &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: normal;" lang="EN-GB"&gt;The recovery of Cr(III) with coloum method at&lt;span style=""&gt;  &lt;/span&gt;60,23% and batch method at 33,42%. Metode&lt;span style=""&gt;  &lt;/span&gt;alternatif untuk mengatasi pencemaran Cr(VI) adalah biosorpsi, yaitu menggunakan biomassa sebagai biosorben. Eceng Gondok (&lt;i style=""&gt;Eichhornia crassipes&lt;/i&gt;)&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: normal;" lang="SV"&gt; merupakan salah satu spesies &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: normal;" lang="EN-GB"&gt;yang dapat digunakan sebagai biosorben untuk mengikat Cr(VI). &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: normal;" lang="SV"&gt;Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan biomassa &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: normal;" lang="EN-GB"&gt;Eceng Gondok (&lt;i style=""&gt;Eichhornia crassipes&lt;/i&gt;)&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: normal;" lang="EN-GB"&gt; &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: normal;" lang="SV"&gt;sebagai biosorben Cr(VI). Biomassa diimobilkan pada silika gel. Biosorpsi Cr(VI) dilakukan dengan metode kolom pada variasi pH, tinggi kolom, laju alir dan perolehan kembali (recovery) Cr(VI). Analisis Cr(VI) menggunakan Spektrofotometer Serapan Atom. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pH optimum adsorpsi terjadi pada pH=3 dengan serapan Cr(VI) sebesar 62,82%. Tinggi kolom optimum adalah 3,6 cm dengan berat biomassa yang digunakan sebesar 6,0 gram dan diameter kolom 2,2 cm, dengan serapan Cr(VI) sebesar 86,09%. Laju alir optimum adalah 2,0 ml/menit dengan serapan Cr(VI) sebesar 85,87%.  &lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 36pt; line-height: 150%;"&gt;&lt;span style="" lang="IN"&gt;Keberadaan logam berat di lingkungan menjadi permasalahan serius dewasa ini. Salah satu upaya untuk mengurangi pencemaran logam berat adalah dengan metode adsorpsi dengan biomassa atau lebih dikenal dengan biosorpsi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menentukan gugus fungsi pada biomassa &lt;i style=""&gt;Potamogeton sp&lt;/i&gt; yang berperan dalam interaksi dengan logam Cu(II), Zn(II), Pb(II) dan Cd(II).
